1) The Ridgefield Ladies Golf Association (RLGA):
• Plays according to the
rules of the Ridgefield Golf Course.
• Uses specific rules of play regarding contests posted prior to
the competition on league days.
2) Dues:
• Must be paid prior to play with the RLGA.
• Anyone playing once with the RLGA is liable for her dues for the
current year.
3) Cancellation Policy:
• If you must cancel before Tuesday morning, please notify the Tee
Time Chairperson immediately.
• Players who cancel on
Tuesday morning must notify the Pro Shop by 7:30 AM (phone: 748-7008).
Any member who cancels on Tuesday or does not show up for the tee
time may be charged greens fees for that date according to the town’s
cancellation policy.
• If you feel your case is an exception, discuss it with the golf
director.
• Additionally, any member who does not show up for the tee time
and did not notify either the Tee Time Chairperson or Pro Shop will
be barred from playing their next scheduled tee time.
4) 9-hole & 18-hole Tee Times:
• Sign up sheets will be posted in the Ladies Lounge.
• Tee times will be posted one week prior to the playing date.
• Once tee times have
been posted, DO NOT change them without first notifying the Tee
Time Chairperson (see list of officers).
5) Tee Off:
• Please be on time and ready to play.
• Players must report to the starter 20 minutes before tee time.
• Latecomers may lose
their tee time.
6) Scoring:
• All holes must be completed on league days to be eligible for prizes.
• All scores, in competition or not, must be turned in for handicap on the date of play.
• If you pick up your ball and do not complete a hole, you must
announce to your opponents that you are no longer in the contest.
• Take your maximum score for that hole. You may continue to play
the rest of the round.
• You may NOT ENTER the score for the league contest, but you MUST
POST that score for the handicap.
7) Score Cards:
• Valid scorecards must list legibly the First and Last Names of
players, the Date and the Signatures of Scorekeeper and Attester.
• If your card is not valid, you cannot be included in the contest
results.
• Please double-check your addition. You may save yourself a stroke!
• Adjust your score for
Handicap and post the adjusted (Equitable
Stroke Control) score in the Computer or online at www.GHIN.com.
• Place the scorecard in the 9-hole or 18-hole box in the Ladies
Lounge.
• Post weekly contest scores according to the directions on the
bulletin board in the Ladies Lounge
8) RGLA Championship Tournament:
• To be eligible for the
Championship a member must have:

A valid handicap from the Ridgefield Golf Course.
•
Played at least 5 of the Tuesdays declared official league days.
• Inclement Weather:
•
If on the Championship Date, and the course is OPEN,
•
But NO carts are allowed, then play will be postponed to the following
week or scheduled rain date.
•
And carts ARE allowed, then play will proceed as scheduled.
•
If on the Championship Rain Date, and the course is OPEN,
•
But NO carts allowed, then play WILL proceed.
